After Passion – Anna Todd

Life will never be the same …

Still alive!

Hey Folks,

I know it has been silent for here for a long long time but I have been in a reading slump basically  since November and don’t seem to get out of it. It’s so annoying. And I kinda stressing myself about it and I guess that makes it eve worse. But I really want to read all these review copies I requested. Duh, I hate situations like these. Do you have any tips on how to overcome reading slumps?

Otherwise, it got super wintery here in Helsinki. I was so sad when there wasn’t any snow for Christmas but shortly after the temperatures finally dropped and we got very little snow. Then after the new year, it got really cold. I mean…freezing cold…temperatures were between -20 to -27 Celsius (-4 to -16 Fahrenheit). Last night and this morning there was heavy snowfall but it’s getting warmer now…and I guess it will be plus something next week. Kinda annoying…never really pleased with the weather…too much of everything. Just kinda grumpy about it.

All in all, it really seems that my time in Finland is really coming to an end. I’m not willing to really go through snow and coldness and darkness for over and over again. It’s nice for 2…or 4 weeks…if I feel like it but I simply don’t wanna live it any longer.

One thing I look forward too, I will go to Germany in March to see my family. Can’t wait to see them – it’s been more than a year.

xoxo,
Fhina

November Bookhaul & Wrap-up

Oh dear, I was definitely too eager with my reading pile last months. I planned to read sooo much and did actually only read 1 book and listened to 2 audiobooks. Ups.
I’m about halfway through Illuminae and I really like the book but I guess I just been to distracted (by netflix) and got into a reading slump…

The book I read was Still by Zoran Drvenkar and I listened to The Ciphers of Muirwood and The Void of Muirwood both by Jeff Wheeler.

Anyway, I won’t be doing a TBR for December and just see what will happen.

As for the books I got: I bought 4 books and got 2 for review.

October Wrap up & November TBR

So, finally here it is, my October Wrap Up and November-TBR!

Last month I manage to read/listen to 8 books altogether but only because I have been sick in bed for a week straight.

October Wrap-up

2015-11-03 19.56.21

The first book I read was The Rose Society by Marie Lu. The Review can be find here.

Then picked up Scherbenseele (Glass bodies) – a German book. It’s by the Swedish author duo Erik Axel Sund. I rated it 4 Stars.

Next up I listened to the German version of Carrie (Stephen King). I expected more of it to be honest. It’s maybe because I knew the movie – the old original one from 1976 – for many, many years (basically since I was 10 when I saw it for the first time…) that made me not liking the book as much as I would have wanted to. It’s one of these rare expectations where the movie is better than the book. But there will probably come a full review. However, I have it 3 stars.

Then I finally finished The Banished of Muirwood  Jeff Wheeler. A review to it will come within this week. I rated it with 4,5 Stars. Continue reading “October Wrap up & November TBR”

September Wrap-Up, Currently reading & October tbr

My god, how can it be October already? To where did this month vanish? It’s horrible that time passes so quickly.

Well, over September was a pretty OK reading month. I read 5 books all together and that’s a good amount of books I’d say.
