Fhina’s Weekly Recap #7

FHINA’S WEEKLY RECAP – SUNDAY FUNDAY

Woop woop, look who’s back with her weekly recap! It’s me Fhina. You know that German chicken that lives in Helsinki and loves books? Yeah remember? Yeah, it’s me!

I’m so sorry I have neglected this blog for 2…3…4 (?) weeks but live has been crazy and I really didn’t even feel like blogging. June was really a weird month! I didn’t read a single book but I’m happy that I managed to listen to audiobooks at least. Can I say that I blame the weather which has been so awful his entire what should be summer…

We got like 3 warm days in the beginning of this months but now it’s basically back to cold and autumn like. I swear I’m so done with this shit. And the worst is, that there’s basically no hope that the weather will get warm, so that you can sit outside in the evenings or wear actually summer clothes, again. The joy of living in Finland…

I mentioned that I listened to 4 audiobooks last months and here they are:

  • Nalini SinghAngel’s Blood
I started to read this book in English but finished listening it in German. I rated it with 4 Stars.
  • Timur VermesLook who’s back (Er ist wieder da)
I was debating very long whether to pick up this book or not. Being German I was brought up being very sensitive to any subject that involves Hitler and National Socialism but since I found it on Spotify, I thought I should give it a try. It was definitely worth the try because the book was more than hilarious and I really enjoyed it. It got 4 Stars.
  • Gillian FlynnGone Girl (Gone Girl – Das perfekte Opfer)
The book has been hyper so much and so have been the movie. I found it good too. But Jesus, I hate Amy…and Nick actually as well… 4 Stars.
  • Maggie StiefvaterShiver (in Nach dem Sommer)
I rated this books with 3 Stars. It was nothing new or super special.

Currently I’m reading:

These few warm days I mentioned earlier I spent entirely outside. Walking through the city, sitting outside and at the beach. Too bad the water in the Baltic sea is so cold that swimming is actually impossible!

This coming week will be quite busy with work and working on my bachelors thesis but I hope I will get back to blogging eventually. I hope you all are doing okay and having a better summer than Finland has…

xoxo,
Fhina
